I know I know, it’s been a while. I’ve been internet-less since I moved to where I am, i’ve got access but it’s so limited that it drives me crazy.

New Hot Chip

I can’t work out the new Hot Chip  album… Most of you will have heard Take it In and the title track One Life Stand but the album is my least favourite to date. I’ve only listened to it a couple of times so I’m sure it’ll grow on me, and I still can’t wait to see them in February for the millionth time. I’m always going to be a fan, and can at the moment say that other than the tracks mentioned before that these are the best on the album:

Take It In.

One Life Stand – Hot Chip’s new album will drop in February almost two years from the last brilliant album Made in the Dark. To say that expectations are high would be an understatement, my favourite of the three albums released to date had a perfect blend of dance and electronic bleeps and is still my most listened to album.

With a tour starting in February right around the release date (Feb 8th) of their new album, we’re all crossing fingers that Hot Chip will have outdone themselves yet again.

Hot Chip Are Back.

My hands down favourite Hot Chip are back in 2010 with a new album in the middle of next year following their February tour. You can pre-order their new album, which is as of yet un-named and receive a new track to wrap your ears around. (If anyone has this can they send to me please.)

Coming Up

It’s sometimes (more often that not) a complete disaster when members of a band go on to have a solo career. However, Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip has squashed this theory of awful side solo projects with a brilliant cover of Paul McCartney’s song Coming Up.
